BOTANICAL THEATRE STUDIO GALLERY & GARDEN LAUNCH:
After nine years creating her magical artist's garden in the Blue Mountains World Heritage area, Alison officially opened her garden, gallery & gift emporium on May 20th as part of the National Trust's 2017 Australian Heritage Festival. An exhibition of her original watercolour book illustrations are now on permanent display, with picture books, cards, edition prints, and gifts available for purchase. Alison's Drawing from Nature workshop, ALIGHT program and new card range were also launched during the Festival. The Gallery is open By Appointment. "The Australian Heritage Festival is supported through funding from the Australian Government’s National Trusts Partnership Program."
SIR STAMFORD CIRCULAR QUAY: from September 2016 ongoing ...
In September 2016 Alison designed the colouring competition for the famous Kid's High Tea at Sir Stamford Circular Quay to celebrate its inhouse mascot, Morris the wombat.
Her picture books and prints have also been on permanent display in the foyer since 2014 and are available for sale at the iconic Sydney hotel. Contact Reception on 02 9252 4600 for details.

MELBOURNE ART BOOK FAIR NGV 1st - 3rd May 2015

Alison showcased her collectible picture books at the inaugural Melbourne Art Book Fair, proudly representing the Blue Mountains of New South Wales at this highly successful event. The 2015 Melbourne Art Book Fair is the first of a series of annual art book events developed by the National Gallery of Victoria. The inaugural Fair brought together publishers, artists, writers and designers. As well as showcasing local and national publishers, the 2015 Melbourne Art Book Fair present international guests from New York to Japan.
The City of Literature small press stand provided visitors with an opportunity to purchase Alison's limited Artist Edition picture books. A new project of its kind in Australia, the Melbourne Art Book Fair provides a unique art, architecture and design experience for visitors to the NGV.

INDIGENOUS LITERACY FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS!
The ONE WORD ONE DAY auction at ABC Studios for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation was a great success with $13,500 raised so far! Richard Glover, SMH columnist/702 ABC Sydney opened the event before introducing internationally acclaimed novelist, David Malouf, who spoke about his role as ILF's Ambassador.
CEO of Bonhams, James Hendy, proved a fabulous Auctioneer with all artworks up for auction on the night sold. Alison won the bid on fellow artist, Bruce Whatley's work, happily adding to the ILF's growing coffers.
Alison's artwork, 'ROCK STAR', featured in a Silent Auction separate from other works listed.

The auction was conducted by Bonhams. at ABC Studios Ultimo. Money raised for ILF supplied books and art materials to children in remote Aboriginal communities.
BLUE MOUNTAINS BUSINESS EXPO
The 2012 Blue Mountains Regional Business Expo showcased award winning business, Botanical Theatre, with Alison's art, books and card range on display. The artist attracted the attention of Blue Mountains Radio 89.1FM which broadcast live throughout the event & interviewed Alison for its afternoon program.
EMPRESS ALISON IN THE GARDEN
Empress Alison signed books and wove magical spells at her Botanical Theatre carell in National Trust property Everglades on a magical Autumn Sunday on April 8th. Designed for children in the lush Glades area, the annual event also held Easter egg hunts, games, face painting, and courted clowns to keep everyone entertained. Empress Alison awarded six year old, Olivia Morrissey of Faulconbridge, the honorary title of 'Authentic Wish Maker' and 'Most Beautifully Dressed Young Lady'. Three cheers, Olivia!
